Add Sitemaps to Yahoo Site Explorer

Earlier I have posted an article on How to Add Sitemaps to Google Webmaster Tools. This time I’m going to explain you how to add your blog’s sitemaps to Yahoo Site Explorer(Yahoo Search Engine).

You just need a Yahoo account to add sitemaps to Yahoo Site Explorer! Do the following simple steps:

Sign-in to Yahoo Site Explorer using your yahoo account.
Type your site/blog URL as shown in the image below and click ‘Add My Site‘.
Then add the sitemaps(RSS or Atom Feed) of your blog or website by clicking ‘Feeds‘ from the left menu bar.
Type your Feed URL in the space provided and click ‘Add Feed‘(see the example screenshot below).
You can use any one the following feed URL:
- WordPress Users:
  http://www.yoursite.com/feed
  OR
  http://yoursite.wordpress.com/feed
- Blogger Users:
  http://www.yoursite.com/rss.xml
  http://www.yoursite.com/feeds/posts/default
  OR
  http://yoursite.blogspot.com/rss.xml
  http://yoursite.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
EXAMPLE

You will see your sitemaps/feeds listed in Feeds section as shown below:
Now you need to authenticate your site. Click ‘Authentication‘ from the left menu bar, choose ‘By adding a META tag to my home page‘ and copy the META TAGS given thereby.
Paste that META TAG in the header section of your template.
Blogger Users:
- Go to Blogger Dashboard – Layout – Edit HTML – then search(Ctrl+F) for the code given below in the header section:
  <b:include data="blog" name="all-head-content"/>
- Then Paste that copied Meta Tag just after the above code and Save the Template.
Finally, click ‘Ready to Authenticate‘ in Yahoo Site Explorer. Finished!
